Ten years of paperwork,
found in three words.
Five lines, just one is enough
A hundred hours a year spent filing, and looking for a document you did in fact keep.
Your accounting records
And your invoices, Article L123-22 of the French Commercial Code.
What the tax office requires

The copy of payslips

Five lines, just one is enough
- You have boxes in a garage, and you no longer know what's in them
- Your scans are sleeping on a hard drive, a USB stick and two mailboxes
- Finding an invoice from 2021 takes you a whole Sunday
- You couldn't show that a document hasn't been altered since
- You keep everything, for fear of throwing away the wrong thing
Retention periods: French Commercial Code, Tax Procedures Code, Labour Code, and the official guide Durée de conservation des documents pour les entreprises, entreprendre.service-public.gouv.fr.
You decide, step by step, what you hand over
Here's what becomes of a document entering the vault. At each step, say whether you keep doing it or Atlas® takes it on: the counters recalculate before your eyes.
It lands in the same place
Invoice received by email, photo of a receipt, till report, document back from the accountant: the same vault, with no software to learn.
Its fingerprint is calculated
A string of characters unique to that file: move one comma, and it changes.
It gets the postmark
An accredited third party time-stamps the fingerprint: nobody can backdate it, Article 41 of the eIDAS regulation.
It sleeps with evidential value
Encrypted, copied to two sites, filing log kept, and the legal retention period tracked: ten, six or five years depending on the document.
You find it in three words
Type invoice Dubois 2021: the document comes back in 3 seconds, with its filing date.
Taking it out of the vault goes through you
Destroy, take out, pass on: the decision stays yours, and that's the module's red line. There is no eraser in a vault.

The inspector wants the Dubois invoice from June 2021, before Friday.
Three boxes opened. All you find is the quote.
The hard drive: a folder Scans 2021, and a Scans 2021 bis.
You call the customer to ask them to send you their copy.
A photo of a photocopy. Nothing says when it dates from.
From your phone: invoice Dubois 2021.
Signed quote, invoice, delivery note, together.
One single file, sent to your accountant.
Each one from 21 June 2021, and unchanged since.
Three evenings, and a document that can't be defended.
Or three minutes, and your Tuesday evening is yours.
The inspector wants the Dubois invoice from June 2021, before Friday
The limits, stated up front
What it will never do
- Destroy a document on its own: taking it out of the vault goes through you
- Alter a filed document: there is no eraser in a vault
- Replace your accountant, or answer on your behalf
- Hold you back: your files come out in their original format
What's written in the contract
- A digital vault within the meaning of Article L103 of the French Postal and Electronic Communications Code
- The log of filings and lookups, open to you alone
- Encryption, and two copies on two separate sites
- Full return, in an open and reusable format
Two caveats. Throwing away the paper requires a reliable copy, decree of 5 December 2016, Article 1379 of the French Civil Code. Notarial deeds: keep them.
No archive wins an audit, it dates the document.
What you get back, every month
