11, 20, 50 employees: every threshold flagged months ahead
Eleven, twenty, fifty employees: each step brings new duties. The counter runs for you, warns you months ahead, and the file is ready before the deadline.
Headcount, read from payroll every month
nothing is triggered
Training: 1% instead of 0.55%, L6331-1
Works council after twelve consecutive months, L2311-2
6% disabled workers expected, L5212-1
next step
A threshold counts after five calendar years above it, L130-1.
Approve, postpone, bring a hire forward: the decision stays yours.
Every threshold seen months ahead,
the decision stays yours.
Five lines, one is enough
- You've hired this year, and you don't know where your headcount stands
- You count your employees in your head, without pro-rating part-timers
- You think a threshold applies the month you cross it
- You discovered an obligation through a letter, not before
- You hesitate over a hire because of what lies behind the number
You decide, step by step, what you hand over
Here's what becomes of a month of watching your headcount. At each step, say whether you keep doing it or Atlas® takes it on: the counters recalculate before your eyes.
Payroll is read every month
Read access to your payroll, or the accountant's file. Part-timers pro-rated, arrivals and departures dated.
The annual average is calculated
The average of the twelve months of the previous calendar year, Article L130-1. A half-time employee counts as a half.
The threshold counters are kept
Five calendar years above before a threshold counts, one year below resets it to zero. The works council follows its own rule: twelve consecutive months.
The file is put together before the date
Six months before the deadline, the obligation appears with its legal text, its timetable and its file ready.
The decision stays yours
Approve, postpone, bring forward or delay a hire: that's you, and that's the module's red line.

Four figures that decide everything
None of them is ours: they come from the French Social Security Code and the Labour Code.
| The figure | What it dictates | The text |
|---|---|---|
| 5 years | above the threshold before crossing it really counts | L130-1 |
| 12 months | in a row at eleven employees, and the works council becomes compulsory | L2311-2 |
| 6 % | of disabled workers expected from twenty employees | L5212-1 |
| 1 % | training contribution at eleven employees, against 0.55% below | L6331-1 |
And Articles L2311-2, L5212-1, L5212-2, L6331-1 and L6331-3 of the French Labour Code.
Thresholds in force since 1 January 2020.
Typical times in a small business, Paperwork automated page: one hour a week watching dates, one hour keeping watch.
A threshold isn't lived in a day, it's lived over three years
The same business, going from ten to twelve employees.
Today, nobody tells you anything: the number has moved, your paperwork hasn't. With the module, from the March payroll, the gauge shows 11.3.
Today, you learn by letter that elections should have been held. With the module, twelve consecutive months above eleven: preparation starts three months ahead.
Today, you drop back to 10.6 without noticing. With the module, the five-year counter resets to zero, in black and white.
The limits, stated up front
What it will never do
- Decide for you whether to delay or bring forward a hire
- Calculate your payroll or your contributions, that's your accountant's job
- Replace a solicitor on a specific case or a dispute
- Settle on its own when a legal text is debated: it flags the doubt
What's written in the contract
- The calculation follows Article L130-1, and you see the detail month by month
- Every alert cites the article it rests on
- Your employee data stays yours, we act only on your instructions
- Full return or deletion at the end of the contract
A collective agreement can lower a threshold, and some obligations have their own count: the module says so.
